If I live in the East or West Tower during the summer and have a fall housing assignment on-campus, will I be able to move directly into my new unit?

Yes. The Housing Team will work with all students to transition them into their fall housing assignments. Communications will be shared and distributed to Howard Plaza Tower summer residents in late July.

The interim period charge is $504 and will be charged directly to your student account. Note that you will incur this charge if you have not completely checked-out of the facility by noon on July 28th. This means that your key must be returned, all of your belongings should be removed from the room and the unit is left in move-in condition in order to avoid the interim charge.

I thought the Howard Plaza Towers only housed upperclassman. Are freshman and sophomore students able to live in the Towers during the summer?

During the summer, the Howard Plaza Towers are one of the preferred on-campus housing options for HU students and interns. Any student takings classes during summer session I or II, or provide written verification of summer employment/internships, regardless of your undergraduate classification, will be eligible to reside in the Towers.
